Research and development is a constant process of trial and error

 Jim He

Is the experiment of product development complete with the expected results?

In fact, the experiment achieves the expected results under a specific experimental condition. Unlike the laboratory, the conditions of actual production often vary within a certain range. So, how much change can the developed formula and process adapt to? What are the changes in the conditions that will seriously affect the production?

Therefore, the development process requires constant trial and error, on the basis of the successful experiment, the expansion of success, this area is the scope of adaptation, if the adaptation is very narrow, production conditions are harsh, you need to adjust; the failure point, this area is the trap area, the more trial and error, the clearer the trap area.

Many people do not understand the importance of trial and error. The experiments I did are all successful, what is bad, why have to make a failed experiment?

The failure of a formula or process in the laboratory does not mean that the production will not fail; without trial and error in the development process. When problems occur after production, countermeasures cannot be taken quickly, which will seriously affect the production and cause great losses.

The cost of continuous trial and error in the development stage is very low, but it is necessary to ensure that there will be no mistakes after production, or reduce the time and error correction cost after error, which is a work of low input and high return.
